Realme announces Android 13 early access program for the Realme GT 2 Pro
Realme has officially started the Android 13 Early Access program for Realme GT 2 Pro owners. It will give users the chance to take a look at what Android 13 has to offer before the stable version comes out.
Launched in April this year, the Realme GT 2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
According to the company, the Early Access program application will open on August 4. While Realme said the update will start rolling out in the coming days, there is no definite timeframe as to when it will be available.
Earlier today, Oppo and OnePlus kicked off ColorOS 13 public beta enrolment for the Find X5 series, Find N, and the OnePlus 10 Pro. Realme, which also falls under the BBK Electronics umbrella, is now following suit with a similar Android 13 early access program for the Realme GT 2 Pro.
In a recent post on its community forums, Realme announced the Android 13 early access program for its flagship Realme GT 2 Pro. The early access program gives users the opportunity to try out Realme’s Android 13 update ahead of the stable rollout.
To apply for Android 13 early access on GT 2 Pro, first open settings and further, click on Software update. Later, tap on three dots on the top right corner of the screen and proceed with the apply now option.
Lastly, filling in the required details and submitting the form will complete the process. Soon, there will be an option of trial build soon after the system rolls out the software to beta testers. In case of any bugs, users have the option to switch back to Android 12.
We recommend against enrolling in the Early Access program if Realme GT 2 Pro is your daily driver as it may not be stable. Keep in mind that most beta builds come with several updates and bugs, which are constantly being fixed.
Realme highlighted that an applicant’s Realme GT 2 Pro should have more than 60 percent battery to install the update. They should also update to either RMX3301_11.A.16 or RMX3301_11.A.17 UI version.
Eligible users can apply for early access of Android 13 by heading over to Settings > Software Update followed by tapping on the settings icon in the top right corner. Then users have to submit the required details and take a quiz by tapping on Trial Version > Apply Now.
