Hello Friends welcome back to Gadgetmercy in this article we are talking about Samsung Galaxy Watches Might Soon Support WhatsApp Calls. WhatsApp app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch. You can respond to message notifications, however this isn`t a full-blown chat interface. First, we consequently want to make certain the watch receives the proper message notifications.
It’s an app that will only work with Android phones, and does support compatibility with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, which is currently the only smartwatch running on Wear OS 3.0.
WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out a fresh beta build that brings voice call support to Wear OS 3 smartwatches. With the new update, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the recently launched Galaxy Watch 5 users can attend WhatsApp voice calls from the smartphone itself.
Samsung has recently released its new smartwatches in the lineup of Galaxy Watch 5, and this spotted feature seems not limited to these new smartwatches.

Samsung Galaxy Watches Might Soon Support WhatsApp Calls
With this update, as and when it rolls out in the stable build, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 users will be able to take WhatsApp voice calls from their smartwatch.
As spotted by a Reddit user, the new update comes in the new beta version 2.22.19.11 of WhatsApp and seems to be enabled by default. This Reddit user says he updated the WhatsApp application through an external application store called ApkPure and soon after he could answer the WhatsApp voice call from his wrist.
The feature is reportedly enabled by default on WhatsApp for Android beta versions 2.22.19.11 and 2.22.19.12. Users with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.19.11 or newer will get incoming call notifications from the app on their Wear OS 3 compatible Galaxy Watch.
Currently, WhatsApp has not made an official announcement about this addition and the feature is expected to undergo changes before the final release. Also read this – DuckDuckGo Is Now Providing Privacy-Protected Email Service
As per user reports on Reddit, WhatsApp with its latest beta release now brings the ability to receive WhatsApp voice calls on Wear OS 3 smartwatches. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 running on Wear OS 3 are getting the feature, reported NDTV.
As they got WhatsApp Calls on their paired smartphone, it directly went to their Galaxy Watch 5, which proves that after Google Assistant support, WhatsApp calls are coming to WearOS.
And as I mentioned, only WearOS-powered Galaxy Watch 5 is getting this new feature, which means users in the USA who have Verizon–powered Galaxy Watch 5 will not be able to get this feature.
Interestingly, WhatsApp does not offer a native Wear OS app, and this change is a part of its Android app. Whatever the case, this is a handy change from the Meta-owned messaging service that will make the lives of Wear OS 3 users easier. And if you were also hoping to make WhatsApp calls from your Wear OS 3 watch, that’s not possible.
The Galaxy Watch 5 paired with the Google Pixel 6 smartphone is reportedly not showing the WhatsApp logo, meaning the UI is the same as regular calls.
The new functionality is currently exclusive to WhatsApp beta users and we may see a public rollout of this in the coming days, as per the report. The feature is expected to undergo changes before the final release.

As per screenshots shared on Reddit, WhatsApp’s logo is displayed under the contact details on calls originating from the instant messaging platform to differentiate it from normal calls. It is shown with Accept and Decline sliders.
The difference in UI between both the watches is that Galaxy Watch 4 users won’t see the profile picture of the caller, but the Galaxy Watch 5 will. And its icons are inspired by Watch native One UI call screen.
Currently, no information is available on when this feature will go live for all users.
And it seems that its coming is more dependent on WhatsApp than Samsung or Google’s WearOS update, so we can expect it to come very soon.
